A. ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION TECHNICIAN COURSE

In the Artificial Insemination portion of the course you learn estrous synchronization, palpating the cervix, and negotiating the AI gun through the cervix. We also supply an excellent AI Management Manual. The course consists of theory and practical work with young cows/Buffaloes.
TOPICS COVERED:

anatomy and physiology of reproduction,
principles and techniques of artificial insemination,
management application an techniques of pregnancy determination,
semen handling and thawing,
estrous synchronization,
selection and time of the breeding season to optimize fertility,
successful feeding and mineral programs for the breeding her,
genetic selection and record keeping programs,
replacement heifer development and management,
management to avoid calving problems, and
Herd health programs.

C. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AI TRAINING COURSE FOR CANDIDATE
The participant of this program should have at least passed in 10th standard examination with not less than 18 years of age and Science graduates are preferred
Shall have bike registered in his name
Valid driving license
Bank Account and PAN (compulsory if selected before going for training)
AI Training certificate if already trained
Willingness to pay prescribed caution deposit
Should be ready to go for 45 day residential training if he/she is fresher

D. DURATION OF TRAINING
1) AI basic training:
• Class room training along with practical training: 30 days • Practical training in the field with AI service provider: 60 days
2) AI refresher training:
• Classroom and Practical training -- 7 days

E. ADMISSION NORMS AND FEEs:
1.       AI Basic Training:
The participant of this programme should have at least passed in 10th standard examination with not less than 18 years of age.
2.       AI Refresher Training:
The participant of this programmed should be a practicing AI technician having at least 1 year relevant work experience and should have undergone AI Basic training.

• Dairy processing plant
• Fodder farm/Demonstration farms

J. TESTS DURING TRAINING AND PASS MARKS
Class Room Training:
• Fortnightly written test on topics covered.
• Final written test at the end.
• Final practical test to evaluate the skills learnt

Pass marks:
• Minimum three theoretical tests and one practical test may be conducted.
• Minimum 50% in each of the test including the final tests.
